Now that we have completed our street survey in Huntley and delivered a Focus newsletter there containing feedback from the survey and news and views about other local and national issues, the Lib Dem Focus team is moving over to Tibberton, our next target area.

We have started to deliver our knock and drop survey and plan to complete it by the date of the EU Referendum, June 23rd.

Obviously the EU Referendum is a hot doorstep topic but that is not the only purpose of our knocking on doors.  We love talking to residents about their concerns and about any other topic that is relevant to local and national government.

Liberal Democrats are a members of a party that really believes in grassroots campaigning and building up our strength through local activism.

But we also want to put across our beliefs which are not so easily understood as those of other parties.  Liberal Democratse are not tribal.  We do not side with just ‘the workers’ or ‘the elite’.  Nor are we fastened to single issues such as UK independence or green politics.   (Although we do have strongly held views in both of these areas!)

We believe that everybody matters. We champion the freedom, dignity and well-being of individuals and believe that the role of the state is to enable all citizens to attain these ideals, to contribute fully to their communities and to take part in the decisions which affect their lives.
