As planned, we are about to complete our delivery of the Focus Team Survey to every home in Tibberton.

Reception has been very good and we look forward to hearing more from those residents who have taken time to fill in our survey either by quick collection, by post or online.

We shall be back soon to call on those houses where nobody was at home and in the following week or two to deliver our Focus newsletter with the results of the survey and other local and national issues.

The EU Referendum is the hot topic of course and it seems that Tibberton is trending for Remain as far as we can tell.  Many are still undecided though, and we hope that the more subdued campaigning, following the dreadful murder of Jo Cox last week, will allow for more rational debate.

Members of the Focus Team did go ahead with a #INtogether stall in  Mitcheldean on Saturday morning, but with the emphasis on quiet conversation and with an opportunity for members of the public to put a signature to one of a number of sheets of condolence that we prepared and that will be sent off to be forwarded to the family and friends of Jo Cox.  Many people were grateful to have the opportunity to express their feelings about this terrible event but also about their determination that the UK should remain a beacon of tolerance and hope.
