Since the beginning of February, Sue Henchley and the Focus Team have braved the weather and continued with our door to door survey in Mitcheldean. We have been joined by new members and are enjoying meeting and talking with the local residents about a huge variety of topics.
These have included problems with heavy goods vehicles in residential streets trying to get into Vantage Point, lack of joined up social care, and inevitably, potholes in the roads. On a national scale, many people are concerned about the implications of Brexit and the collapse of the Labour party as an effective opposition to Mrs May’s government.
The County Council elections are coming up in May, and there will be a real chance to make a difference. The Tories only have a small majority at present on Gloucestershire County Council at Shire Hall. As Liberal Democrats we don’t think they have done the best job for the people of Gloucestershire! In May, we have a chance to change that. Watch out for our Focus leaflets coming through the door in the next few weeks telling you about the waste and inefficiencies in more detail, and what we propose to do about it.
